
Daewoo Avia ...
Main objective for mutual cooperation with Daewoo Avia a.s. Praha was a new development project of selected components for new diesel engine EURO 3 intended for use in new light trucks Avia.
This project was partially completed right at client's property and involved these basic phases:
Functional simulation of crankshaft mechanism and valve operating system for engine EURO 3.
Verification and validation of constructional proposal for crankshaft mechanism and comparison with original engine crankshaft mechanism
Constructional modification suggestions - cam and pressure springs design for valve operating mechanism
- Cylinder engine block development
Cylinder engine block development, according to the Daewoo Avia's Head Executive project approval Department. Project development was processed by utilizing 3D CAD software application and tested during number of development phases. Result is completed and detailed 3D model with complete blueprints documentation ready for prototype manufacture and assembly.
- Cylinder engine head development
Cylinder Engine Head Development - 3D Model with New Geometry of Intake and Exhaust Channel System. Our goal was to maintain the original concept of engine head and develop a new optimized intake / exhaust channel system within. Because the original engine head existed only on blueprints we had to create completely new 3D model of new engine head.
- CAD project management and engine assembly production
Working on engine development project involved a large number of construction engineers from Daewoo Avia as well as AV ENGINEERING. Our main task was to manage CAD data in a particular way, so unified and cohesive data structure could be achieved within entire project frame. The production of the 3D engine assembly and blueprints assembly completed the project.
- Model engine block assembly, supply and construction
Model prototype assembly served as model for sand cast die production of an engine cylinder block prototype series. As a constructional foundation, for 3D model assembly, was blueprints proposal assembly, created by our foundry technology department, also responsible for casting production.
Model consisted of 2 examples of engine block sidewalls and 10 master cores for core formation.
Peculiar model shapes and rather short completion time, required the manufacturing technology to be conducted exclusively by using the three-coordinates-milling machine govern by NC software applications created at AV ENGINEERING.
Construction and manufacture of engine model block assembly was realized in extremely short time period of 3 months.
